CANDIDATE AGREEMENT

By completing a registration form or online application for a vacancy with APTITUDE RECRUITS LTD, you confirm agreement to be represented by APTITUDE RECRUITS LTD for employment. This agreement confirms how we will provide our recruitment services to you.

1. APTITUDE RECRUITS LTD are to provide you permanent recruitment services that is to say we will act as an agency as defined under The Employment Agencies Act 1973.

2. You authorise APTITUDE RECRUITS LTD to seek work on your behalf.

3. By completing this registration form/application, you have informed us that you wish us to seek employment within the field of work as specified within your registration.

 

DATA PROTECTION STATEMENT    

The information that you provide on this application, in conversations and on any CV given will be used by APTITUDE RECRUITS LTD to provide you work finding services. In providing this service to you, you consent to your personal data being included on a computerised database and consent to us transferring your personal details to our clients.

We may check the information collected, with third parties or with other information held by us. 

We may also use or pass to certain third parties information to present or detect crime, to protect public funds, or in other way permitted or required by law.

 

Data collected

What information do we collect when you register?

For specific services (which include vacancy alerts), we ask you to register. This involves you submitting information including name, email address, password, location and the industry sector you work in. By registering you will have access to your own profile and job-related activities and will be able to manage and maintain your own personal data. You are under no obligation to provide such information. However, if you withhold requested information, we may not be able to provide you with certain services.

 

Vacancy alerts

To utilise our vacancy alerts service, you will be required to register. The information collected is used for the purpose of keeping you informed by email or SMS of the latest jobs that match the search criteria you have selected.

Should you decide that you no longer wish to receive vacancy alerts, you can simply either log-on and choose not to have vacancy alerts sent or you can follow the "unsubscribe" instructions on each vacancy alert sent to you and the service will be de-activated on your behalf.

Curriculum vitae ("CV")

We give you the option of submitting your CV. You can do this either to apply for a specific advertised job or for consideration by our recruitment consultants for positions as they come up. Your CV will not be stored on our website, all information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers, which uses industry standard Secure Layer (SSL) Encryption Technology, accessible only by APTITUDE RECRUITS LTD’s recruitment consultants. Your CV will be emailed directly to our recruitment consultants who will process your application and, with your consent, enter your details onto our in-house database. This database, including the information relating to you, can only be accessed by APTITUDE RECRUITS LTD’s recruitment consultants. Your CV will be sent to prospective employers, but only where you give your consent.

 

Our use of Data

• We will retain any Data you submit for a period deemed reasonable for us to comply with our statutory and contractual obligations and in accordance with our legitimate interests as a data controller.

• Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, and subject to any third-party disclosures specifically set out in this policy, your Data will not be disclosed to third parties. This includes our affiliates and / or other companies within our group.

• All personal Data is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the GDPR. For more details on security see the clause below (Security).

• Any or all of the above Data may be required by us from time to time in order to provide you with the best possible service and experience when using our Website. Specifically, Data may be used by us for the following reasons:

  2. Following an assessment of your requirements, for matching your details with vacancies to assist us in finding you a new position

  3. To periodically keep you informed of our services

  4. For compiling salary and other market surveys

• You have the right at any time to ask us for a copy of the information supplied by you that we hold. You have the right to ask APTITUDE RECRUITS LTD to stop using your information and the right for all data to be deleted on request.

• We understand our legal duty to retain accurate data and only retain personal data for as long as we need it for our legitimate business interests and that you are happy for us to do so.  Accordingly, we run data routines to remove data that we no longer have a legitimate business interest in maintaining. Typically, this is 3 years.

• We will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that your Personal Data is maintained and up to date. However, you are under a duty to inform us of any and all changes to your Personal Data to ensure that it is up to date and we will update or delete your Personal Data accordingly. • If we have no contact with you then following the expiry of a reasonable period as we consider appropriate we will archive for file or may delete it.

• Data security is of great importance form to APTITUDE RECRUITS LTD and to protect your Data we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure Data collected.

• If password access is required for certain parts of the Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.

• We endeavour to do our best to protect your personal Data. However, transmission of information over the internet is not entirely secure and is done at your own risk. We cannot ensure the security of your data transmitted to the Website.
