Job Description:
Are you a Technology, Media and Entertainment Lawyer looking for an opportunity to work and learn from a leading regional and international T, M and E Partner? Due to their growing practice in Dubai, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a leading TME practice that boasts an impressive portfolio of many high profile regional and international brands in the tech, media, film and entertainment space. This opportunity would suit a c5 year PQE (Common Law) Lawyer who has already gained a solid foundation of experience in this area and is now looking to take on bigger projects and with more responsibility.
The successful candidate will work directly for the Head of Practice, therefore there is a real opportunity to learn, grow and advance their career in a fast-paced, dynamic and international environment, led by a leading British TME Partner.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing drafting processes and negotiations, with a commercially aware approach
Demonstrating a deep understanding of the global and regional technology, media, and entertainment sectors
Developing expertise in relevant regional legal/regulatory developments
Proactively supporting business development and marketing initiatives
Infrequent business travel may be required
Education/Experience Required:
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Essential
Candidates MUST be admitted as a lawyer in England & Wales OR other common law jurisdiction. (Scotland/Ireland/USA/NZ/AUS/SA)
Associate with minimum 5-7 years’ PQE
Enthusiasm for working with clients in the technology, media, and/or entertainment sectors is essential, as are first-class communication and drafting skills
Strong aptitude for nurturing client relationships and delivering excellence
Preferred
A strong interest and/or previous experience in establishing new client relationships
Business development ability, or long term interest in being part of business developing activities
Other
Arabic language skills will be useful but are not Essential
