Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a leading business who operate within the technology and internet industry. Our client who is a leader in their field is looking for a highly experienced, commercially-minded senior legal counsel who will have oversight and responsibility for all legal matters relating to their Saudi Arabia operations. The position will be based in Riyadh or Jeddah. (Option to work in either office location)
Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for and advising on all legal activities in the Kingdom
Advising senior business stakeholders and working closely with the General Counsel on projects and any new initiatives.
Managing complex transactions from across the business network (International/Cross-border)
Interacting with Saudi government authorities and regulators – regulatory activities
Leading on contract reviews and negotiations – commercial inc internet, technology, media related contracts.
Formulating legal risk management strategies
Education/Experience Required:
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Law degree from a top university
Fluent in English and Arabic (both oral and written)
Strong KSA local law knowledge in KSA is mandatory
Ideally 6PQE +, with a minimum of 2 years experience at an international law firm
Corporate, commercial experience required
Finance experience preferred but not required
The ability to prioritize and multi-task, particularly when working under pressure and to tight deadlines
A methodical, pro-active approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy
