Job Description:

The Head of Sales has the primary role of leading the sales department, overseeing activities of the junior and senior professionals along with independent Sales Consultants and monitoring their performance as a whole. The Head of Sales defines and communicates the business’s KPIs and targets to sales force on a regular basis, analyses patterns in consumer and market behaviour, and subsequently defines data-driven action strategies in order to consistently optimise the business’s commercial performance.
The role is very much a data-driven role that requires commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the consumer base, the competitive market, and an ability to analyse sales department performance. The Head of Sales role is an integral part of the business in that it also involves the management of external partners and collaborations with numerous internal departments.
The successful candidate provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the Company has proper sales channels to effectively grow the organisation and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The position shall accomplish this through a respectful, constructive and energetic approach, guided by business objectives and organisation strategy. The Head of Sales drives and manages the implementation of Sales strategies and business plans and supporting Chief Executive Officer to achieve the targeted sales revenue.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Creation and realisation of annual sales budget and forecast in accordance with the Sales and financial target of the company

  • Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base

  • Assist international sales team to administer multiple product lines and encourage market segments for growth.

  • Analyse and implement all sales operational plans to increase sales and prepare required forecasts for executive management

  • Design and provide innovative sales and marketing campaigns to ensure rapid increase in sale of products.

  • Develop plan and implement effective international sales methods to meet all sales targets.

  • Develop and maintain negotiation with international distribution agencies.

  • Design plans to increase company’s international marketing and ensure concentration on foreign market.

  • Design various strategic plan to improve sales and marketing plans in Asia- Pacific, EMEA and Latin America.

  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations

  • Manage day to day communication with all sales consultants and detect issues and opportunities

  • Analyse and identify areas for improvement and verify all processes for various sales reports.

  • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts

  • Supervise regional competitors in specific market and provide report for expansion chances/opportunities.

  • Collaborate with engineering counterparts to define product release requirements

  • In charge of product pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals in coordination with the Finance department and the CEO

  • Defining of product price list structure and generation of price lists for sales staff Review of customer requirements with respect to feasibility and their translation into product specification for labelling, packing, design of the products in coordination with Manufacturing and R&D departments

  • Collection and supply of necessary information about customer requested product, quantities and order priorities in order to facilitate capacity planning

  • Allocation of the capacity (sales order priority) for OEM/Private label, FTI brands and distribution. The allocation is communicated to other department through daily and weekly meeting for implementation and related planning

  • Supervise customer order processing which should be as per the agreed timelines and priorities.

  • Maintain and train in employees in all distribution channels.

  • Hire and select members and perform efficient safekeeping of growth-oriented plans for development.

Education/Experience Required:

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Candidate should have 15+ years of experience in international sales within the optical (recording) media business

Bachelors in Business Management is preferrable. 

Excellent English language skills (Both written and spoken)

Proven track record in a leadership/management position
